Lino is best suited for areas of constant water penetration or use.The trick here is to remove the old floor covering and make sure the floor has no bumps or bits sticking out.
Because this type of flooring shows all bumps and imperfections. If your floor is not sound then you will have to lay hardboard all over the floor.
The simplest way of laying lino is to place a “trace” on the floor. This is basically putting down felt or paper and trace the layout of the room from the paper.Cut round toilets and sinks using a wood block attached to a pencil, when you come to remove the “trace” reverse the wood block and draw the shape inside the first one.you can use floor adhesive or spray to stick it to the floor.

Before fitting laminate or real wood flooring you will need to prepare the floor by screwing or nailing down any loose boards .Check for pipes or wires under the floorboards first.
If you do not want to see the edges then you will have to remove the skirting and lay the wood up against the wall then replace the skirting's on top of the newly laid flooring.
1.cut and lay the under sheet
2. Using spacers, start in the corners and glue joints together if you are using real wood
(Laminate does not require glue because it interlocks)
3. Stagger the cuts-never use the same length all the way through.
4.The cut end of the last piece will be used as the beginning of the next row.
