PRESERVING GARDEN FURNITURE,DECKING AND FENCING
Anything left outside for prolonged periods of time and faced with the elements of the weather will eventually become faded, weak and unattractive. To prevent this you will need to have a regular treatment of all outside wood work.
There are different types of preserver out there.
A. Solvent based-these prevent timber from wet rot.
B. Colour shades-these provide an attractive colour shade to wood but do not offer the same protection as the solvent based ones.
Apply preservers to fencing and rough cut timber
On decking and garden furniture it is advisable to use “teak oil” or
“Danish oil” which is specially designed for garden furniture and offers better protection.Solvent based preserver is applied by spraying whilst teak oil and danish oil is best applied with a brush or cloth
