Remember to draw the outline of the hob twice
First outline the same size as the hob
Second outline 15 mm inside the first outline
Kitchen worktops come in different thicknesses and the average length is 3m.
In order to cut a work top to be able to fit your hob into you will need to place the hob onto the worktop.draw around it.take the hob off .At this point if you were to cut the worktop the hob would simply drop through the hole you just cut.So what you do is draw a second line about 15 mm in side the first one.To cu you will need to make a series of holes at the ends of your layout this is to get your jigsaw in there. Then with even pressure cut all round You can use masking tape over the pencil line

DECORATIVE MOULDING'S
The tops an bottom of the kitchen units can be finished off with decorative moulding's which are usually made to match the finish of the doors.
These moulding's can be a bit tricky to cut especially if they require several mitred cuts as in this one. This topic is covered in the Kitchen fitting e-book and can be ordered as a DVD in the Kitchen fitting tutorial.
