Before you begin tiling anywhere be it wall or floor, you will need to prepare your walls and lay out your work area.
With wall tiles you will need to fix a vertical baton to the bottom of your wall, this will act as a straight guide to fix the tiles onto an ensure that the tiles do not slip off when you begin to put them up.
If you have to remove old tiles from the wall first,be sure to put on safety goggles and wear gloves for cutting tiles as the edges can be sharp.
Cut the tiles using a tile cutter.Apply adhesive to walls using an adhesive spreader .Gently “slap” the tiles on -avoid pressing hard and sliding the tiles around .Using tile spacers on the four corners of tiles begin butting the next tile and continue this for the rows.

The tiling here is almost complete using the techniques described above.now having tiled your walls you will need to leave the tiles overnight before GROUTING.
To do this just spread the grout all over the tiles using a “grout spreader”-press it well into the gaps.leave for 5mins.wipe off excess on surface of tiles and use a soft cloth to “buff” surface
Wall tiling
Floor tiling
Floor tiling requires a different type of tile cutter because these tend to be harder and bigger than wall tiles you also need “floor tile adhesive” which is waterproof and cement based to cope with water splashes on the floor.
Lay out your floor area using a spirit level .
Plan your layout using a straight baton as your guide in the corners
Apply the adhesive using a “floor tile” adhesive spreader.these have bigger “teeth”than the floor tile ones .Gently lay the tiles onto the adhesive taking care not to press to hard.Use a spirit level to make sure they are all level.Lave for 24 hours as described above.
Grout with “floor tile grout” the spacers for these will be bigger than the ones for wall tiles.wipe excess grout and “buff as in above”
